the stockholm wanderer

"As I ride my bike towards Liljeholmsbron, the Högalid church's two towers rise toward the sky, and two parts of the Liljeholmen bridge do the same. I'm riding on towards the Old Town where Storkyrkan is a classic motif that many artists, including Axel Fridell and Harald Sallberg, have pictured. In my version, a temporary white wall in the middle of the picture is contrasted with heavy stone walls. An early summer Sunday I cycle to Blasieholmen where Tullhuset is located with an empty and desolate parking lot. Will the building be demolished? I continue to Djurgården's cooling greenery where the Biological Museum's remarkable building in its viking style is located. In my picture, I let the rich vegetation embrace the museum with its mysterious oak trees. "

Thus writes Mikael Wahrby  about his four new Stockholm motifs, virtuoso carried out in classical etching technique.
