art week popup

Starting during Stockholm Art Week and lasting for one month, Grafikens Hus and ed. art will team up to open a popup gallery on Grev Turegatan 1, showing some of the best of Nordic contemporary fine art prints. Artworks on display will be by both established artists such as Marie-Louise Ekman, Helene Billgren and Fredrik Söderberg, as well as by emerging talents such as Jakob Ojanen, Disa Rytt and Astrid Myntekær

– Fine art prints offer the possibility of making art accessible to many people because the works are made in multiple copies. Being able to open up a gallery right next to Stureplan, with art by big names that many people can actually afford to buy, feels great! says Elisabeth Blennow Calälv from ed. art.

– Printmaking is also an art form with fantastic qualities of its own. We want to show that, and the variety available in the world of printmaking today. When I talk to many of today's major art collectors, it often turns out that prints were the starting point of their collection, adds Nina Beckmann at Grafikens hus.
