All of Millie Jordan Holmer's Macula prints are part of the same edition of 25. However, each print has a unique coloring and are therefore presented as separate works here at ed-art.se
To Millie Jordan Holmer (formerly known as Emil Holmer), painting equals the primitive. Achieving an expression that speaks directly, bypassing words; to understand what painting can do, in contrast to the intellectual, theoretical, conceptual. Basically, it's about the craftsmanship, searching for interesting combinations of colours and shapes, finding the simple and direct. The prints are an extension of Jordan Holmer’s paintings, a way to make use of the machines' involvement in the process to challenge the habitual patterns.
Millie Jordan Holmer graduated from Umeå Art Academy in 2002. Jordan Holmer has exhibited throughout Sweden and Germany and is, since a number of years, living in Berlin.
