Nasrin Taghizadeh's work springs from a love of craftsmanship and a desire to experiment. She uses colored fabric, wire, paper, cardboard and cut-out shapes to create her images. The compositions are then inked, pressed against a paper and run through the printing press to create the impression. The motives are often taken nature, and the graphic, black and white birch trunk is a recurring feature in her images.
Nasrin Taghizadeh started working with prints in 2007, before that she devoted herself to painting and ceramics. She is educated at Gerlesborgsskolan. In 2022, she received the Swedish Printmakers’ Association’s scholarship for her “playfulness and skill”.
