About Birgitta Muhr
Birgitta Muhr works with both sculpture and prints. As a graphic artist, Birgitta has a clear connection to the origins of printing making techniques, even though it usually only results in unique prints. There is a kind of speed in the process, as if she is playing her way to ready-made characters, a kind of letters that write themselves and bounce against paper and paint.
Birgitta Muhr (b. 1961 Sundsvall) graduated from the Swedish Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1992. Since then, she has worked on several public works, mainly as a sculptor. She had solo exhibitions at, among others, Moderna Museet and Grafiska Sällskapet in Stockholm and participated in around 30 group exhibitions.
