Damage during shipping

If your artwork is damaged in shipping, it must be reported to us within 3 days from the day you pick up the package or have it delivered to your home. Email detailed information about and images of the damage to info@ed-art.se. Save the wrapping paper, cardboard, shipping label and the artwork in a place where the damage cannot worsen. We will contact you as soon as possible with further information.

Visible damage during home delivery

Always check the package for damage before you sign it when delivered by the carrier.

If you see damage to the package, you need to report it directly to the driver before you sign for delivery. When the package has been signed by you, the package is automatically approved in the condition that is visible. Therefore, be sure to ask the driver to note the damage on his or her handheld computer before you sign.

If the artwork is also damaged, please email detailed information and images of the damage to info@ed-art.se. In order for us to be able to compensate you, we must receive a report within 3 days of the day you receive the package. We will contact you as soon as possible with further information. Save the wrapping paper, cardboard, shipping label and the artwork in a place where the damage cannot be aggravated.

Visible damage when picking up from an agent

When the package is picked up, note the damage immediately upon receipt by writing on the shipping note that it is damaged. Ask the agent if they can accept a damage report. If the agent is not able to make a report on site, please report it via the transport company's website. Different transport companies have different policies, but always report it as soon as possible.

Damage that is only visible when the package is opened

If the damage is not visible upon pickup or upon home delivery, it must be reported to us within 3 days of you signing for the package. This means that it is important you open the parcel directly upon receipt. Email detailed information and pictures of the damage to info@ed-art.se. Save the wrapping paper, cardboard, shipping label and the artwork in a place where the damage cannot worsen. We will contact you as soon as possible with further information.

Returns and regrets

After having received your parcel, you have the right to regret your purchase of any unframed artwork within 14 days. Contact us as soon as you can, and we will find the easiest way to return the artwork. The cost of returning the parcel will be paid by you.

You have no right to regret the purchase of a framed work, since the frames are custom made upon your request. If you are unsure about buying an artwork, we advise you to order it without a frame.

About paper artworks and their durability

Paper is a living material that, even when framed and mounted, has a tendency to move and create “bubbles” between the attachment points. This is mostly due to moisture in the air and is completely natural. The bubbles can either increase or disappear. For best durability, the artwork should be framed with an acid-free mount and not placed in direct sunlight or in humid environments.
