About Torgrim Wahl Sund

Torgrim Wahl Sund works with printmaking, drawing and painting, but also installation art and more experimental activities. Science fascinates the artist, and trying to combine emotionally driven art with an analytical, cold point of view is a ambition. Dust has been featured in the works since 2010, when the artist came across the Danish astrophysicist Anja Andersen, who studies thje importance of dust in our existence. In the series "The Dust blows forward and the dust blows back" the dust is present; old photographic negatives have been covered with dust, treated, enlarged and printed with photogravure pritechnique. The images show traces of the photographic motives, but above all the dust's own shapes.

Torgrim Wahl Sund graduated from Bergen Acedemy of Arts and Design in 2010. He has exhibited in Oslo, Tokyo, Berlin and New York, among others, and his works can be found in several important Norwegian art collections.
