About Viktor Rosdahl

Viktor Rosdahl searches for images that confuse or perhaps amaze him. The motifs that he – after a long time of being pondering – decides to bring into his paintings or prints are images that he himself is triggered by without knowing why; they can be both beautiful mountain ranges and hellish images of the city as a production machine. They can be serious, as well as dreamlike and playful.

Viktor Rosdahl (b. 1980, Helsingborg) studied at Malmö Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 2007. A few years later he participated in the Moderna exhibition at the Moderna Museet, which examined contemporary art and highlighted its most interesting artists. Since then, he has had several exhibitions around Sweden, but also beyond the country’s borders.
