About Sari Bremer

Sari Bremers artworks moves on the border between reality and fantasy in a visual world that can be described as magical realism. The motifs include ancient trees, mysterious landscapes and historical explorers. The trees function as symbols for the cycle of life, the vulnerability of nature and the connection between past and present. Her graphic prints are often built through multiple prints from copper plates, which creates a rich depth, nuanced colors and a detailed imagery that makes your fantasy going.

Sari Bremer (b. 1976) is a Finnish graphic artist based in Helsinki. She graduated from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2001 and works mainly with etching and aquatint. She has exhibited in Finland and internationally, including Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo and Mexico City. Her works are represented in several public and private collections in Finland.
