Timothy Crisp

The works of Timothy Crisp resemble delayed postcards. Memories of abandoned places, that suddenly emerge, many years after they were forgotten. But the remembrance is not a happy reunion, it is rather a reminiscence loaded with guilt. The viewer finds herself in a place robbed of its assets and deprived of its future. The living are uncannily absent; man is nothing but a memory.

Timothy Crisp (b. 1981, Stockholm) graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm in 2008. In 2013 he added a year of printmaking to his studies. He has exhibited at galleries and art spaces since his graduation and received several stipends.
