Jenny Carlsson Grip
Jenny Carlsson Grip works with painting and printmaking. For her both techniques are the same but they behave differently, which is also the charm. She works with nature and the landscape as a starting point, often outdoors. Carlsson Grip calls the artworks from the fieldwork From the Weather Diary and nowadays they are often made as prints – drypoint – where the artist scratches in the plates outdoors and tries to capture her physical impressions of nature directly on the surface.
Jenny Carlsson Grip (b. 1984, Ronneby) grew up in Ronneby, Sweden, studied at Umeå Art Academy and has now been back in the region of her childhood for a couple of years. She has an extensive exhibition history and her works can be found in several important collections, such as the City of Stockholm, Västerbotten Museum, TIA-collections, USA and Aalto University, Finland.
