Jeff Olsson
Jeff Olsson’s artistic practice embodies a duality that renders the familiar unexpectedly alien. It is a dark, ominous world in which Olsson places both humans and animals in dreamlike scenes where profound existential seriousness meets a distinctive humor and an alluring, skewed aesthetic.
Jeff Olsson (b. 1981, Kristinehamn) lives and works in Gothenburg and graduated from Valand Academy of Fine Arts in 2008. He has held numerous solo exhibitions—including at Galleri Magnus Karlsson—and his work is represented in collections such as those of the Gothenburg Museum of Art and the Public Art Agency Sweden.
