David Wiberg

David Wiberg's pictures depict the world of a child. There is a darkness in them, but also a playfulness. The motif sphere is strongly influenced by the artist's own upbringing in the council estates of Norra Fäladen in Lund. To produce his pictures, Wiberg works with a digital collage technique, where scanned paintings, drawings and different types of materials are joined together in the computer.

In addition to being an illustrator and artist, David Wiberg (b. 1973) is also active as a writer, actor, playwright and director, and part of the humor collective Varanteatern. He studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London and is also a trained architect. For twenty years now, he has been drawing the Nobel Prize winner in literature every year in Sydsvenska dagbladet.
