Ann Edholm
Ann Edholm’s art is often described as "sublime", "powerful" or "reverential". She works with great precision in simple geometric shapes. The titles sometimes tell of the artist's own way of looking at the the work, but more often, the viewer herself is invited to find her own way of seeing.
Ann Edholm (b. 1953, Saltsjöbaden) has been active since the eighties and is today considered one of the heavyweights in Swedish contemporary art. She has been awarded the second prize in the Nordic art prize Carnegie Art Award and participated in the Moderna Exhibition in 2010 at Moderna Museet, a survey of the most important Swedish art of today.
