About Linnéa Teljas Puranen

In the images of Linnéa Teljas Puranen, we often find the animals, depicted with strong colors and simple, pure forms. What she depicts often has a slightly crooked and whimsical expression; humor and warmth are almost always close at hand. If it is animals and patterns that she mainly depicts, it is emotions that she mainly explores in her works.

Linnéa Teljas Puranen (b. 1990) studied at Konstfack and Grafikskolan in Stockholm, HDK-Valand in Gothenburg and Aalto University in Helsinki. Her work has received international attention and she has made illustrations for prestigious publications such as Vogue Magazine and Harper's Bazaar. Her work has been shown in galleries in Berlin, Shanghai and Seoul, but also in a 52 meter long exhibition as part of SL's art initiative Konstväxlingar.
