Art as Corporate and Anniversary Gifts
Rewarding an employee who has worked long and faithfully is best done with art! Commemorative gift, corporate gift, anniversary gift, honorary award, or long-service gift — whatever you choose to call it, there are many names for the same thing. At ed. art, we offer a broad yet carefully curated selection, making it easy to find a suitable piece of art to give as a gift:
- Our artworks are always printed with the utmost care, often by hand by the artists themselves or by a professional art printer.
- We do not sell poster-like reproductions of artworks, but only what is known as original prints.
- We work exclusively with skilled, professional artists.
- We do not sell second-hand artworks, but only art directly from artists and printers. In this way, your gift directly supports the Nordic art scene.
- We work with a framing workshop that handcrafts all our frames, always using acid-free materials and tailoring each frame to the artwork.
However, choosing art for someone else can be difficult. That’s why a gift card for a framed artwork from ed. art can be an excellent choice. We offer ready-made denominations, and you can contact us if you would like a different amount:

What rules apply for corporate gifts in Sweden?
As a business owner, you can recognise and reward your employees on a number of occasions without the employee having to pay benefit tax. These include:
- Retirement or termination of employment
- Long service (at least 20 years)
- A milestone birthday (50 or older)
The gift may be worth up to SEK 15,000 including VAT, and it is the market value, rather than the price you paid, that counts.
This type of gift may only be given to an employee who has been employed for at least 6 years, and only twice during their employment, one of which must be upon termination of employment. This means, for example, that you can give an employee a 50th birthday gift and a retirement gift, but a potential 60th birthday gift would then not be tax-free.
You may also give gift cards, provided they cannot be exchanged for cash — which is the case with ed. art gift cards.
Whether it is for retirement, long service, a 50th or 60th birthday, or the end of a long career, art makes an excellent gift. At ed. art, you’ll find a wide selection of guaranteed high-quality artwork, all within the price range applicable to tax-deductible and tax-free corporate gifts.
