Catti Brandelius

b. 1971, Gävle

Catti Brandelius is a truly versatile artist. She has devoted herself to music, performance art, chronicles in papers and on radio, and visual arts. For many, she is better known as her alter ego, Miss Universe, with which she appeared in the pop group Doctor Cosmos in the 90s. In art Brandelius appears in various guises, questioning norms and habits of society with humor and audacity.

Brandelius is educated at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, graduating in 2000. 2007-09 she studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts as a student of the printmaking department and as a special student to the principal Marie-Louise Ekman. She resides in Bredäng outside of Stockholm.
