In Alexandra Kern's work, nature and urban landscapes often act models. Nature, both embracing and threatening. The city which insistently directs the flows and dictates the tempo. She works with various artistic techniques, but she is particularly distinguished in the printmaking world, having received several major awards and honors.
Alexandra Kern received her master's degree from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1993. She is well represented in Sweden's municipalities and county councils with both prints, paintings and large-scale installations. Her works can be found in the collections of the Moderna Museet, the British Museum and the Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo.
