Helena Brunius
b. 1966, Stockholm
In Helena Brunius' world of images, we travel among memories without a time limit. The images become scenes with different motifs, often from flora, sometimes from fauna. Recurring scenes take place during the night, dawn or dusk. The night is a safe room, but exciting, inhabited by plants and animals.
After her education, in Kokkola, Finland and at the Royal Institute of Arts in Stockholm, Helena Brunius has regularly had solo exhibitions in Stockholm, and participated in group exhibitions at the National Museum, Gotland Art Museum, in Dresden and Paris.
