Jacob Dahlgren collects abstractions. He finds them in the world that surrounds him, takes them out of context and creates abstract works of art from them. In Februaruy-March, he exhibits at Bror Hjorths hus in Uppsala.

In Constructing a New World [Under construction], the works are based on nature and the tree's shapes and plant patterns. Trees are a recurring theme in Dahlgren's oeuvre – in the tree he sees the interplay between nature and abstraction, between the concrete and the imaginative.

"In Jacob Dahlgren's art, new associations are created with things we already know and recognize, and give us a new way of looking at the world around us, regardless of whether it concerns trees, shapes or symbols," writes Bror Hjorths hus.

The exhibition runs until 19 March.
