Two new, playful prints by Gudrun Åsling are now available at ed-art.se. The Brio prints are based on the variation in what is repeated. "The prints are like a map of the small differences and itineraries of everyday life, that I have staged and brought together in a work of art," says Gudrun Åsling.

The title Brio comes from a term that is used in classical music and can mean with bravura, liveliness, and power.

When asked how she developed the works, Gudrun Åsling answers that it is actually difficult to describe. But "cutting and pasting is a big part of the process".

Gudrun Åsling lives in Sanna village outside Järvsö, after having spent most of her career in Gothenburg. She is the author of a number of public artworks in the city and her work can be found in the collections of the Röhsska museum. Since graduating from the School of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg in 1979, Åsling has moved between painting and textiles, with exhibitions both on the applied arts scene and in the art world.
