In her Beyoncé etchings series, Ditte Ejlerskov is trying to incorporate Beyoncé’s lyrics into her own voice, her own production and feminist framework. This work is sprinted on demand and is therefore delivered with a few weeks of delay. Please contact us for frame proposals and shipping.
Pop culture and the media, often with a feminist angle, are recurring themes in Ditte Ejlerskov’s work. She combines her background in classical abstract painting with a conceptual approach and focuses her work in projects. The result can be both paintings, publications and prints.
Ditte Ejlerskov grew up in Denmark and studied in Sweden, at the Malmö Art Academy. Her exhibitions programme since graduating reflects this dual "citizenship", with a large number of exhibits on both sides of the strait. In 2012 she was one of 17 artists to be nominated for the Nordic region's largest art prize, Carnegie Art Award.
