Eva Kerek has an imagery of her own. In her world, we encounter everyday objects, but not as we usually see them, but twisted and turned. We often look into Eva Kereks room from above, but the people and the furniture that populate her pictures might be seen from the side. The perspective is shifted and distorted and suddenly the simple, everyday room becomes something quite different.
After her education at the Univeristy College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm (Konstfack), Eva Kerek has worked as a painter, but also focused specifically on printmaking. She has worked with virtually all printmaking techniques and has received several grants in the genre. In 2008 she received the stipend of Master builder Sven-Harrys art and housing trust.
