Since 2019, artist Cecilia Ömalm and astronomer Göran Östlin have been running an interdisciplinary collaboration under the name Ad Lucem/ Till Ljuset. Together, they explore historical and contemporary material with connections to the cosmos and produce cyanotypes from both old original negatives from e.g. the Paris Observatory and the Royal Academy of Sciences in Stockholm, as well as using newly produced, hand-made glass negatives.
The duo exhibited around thirty works at Liljevalchs Stockholm Art Gallery during the summer of 2024 in the exhibition Stockholm's Cosmology and can also be seen at Fotografiska in Stockholm and Tallinn 2024-26 in Space–A Visual Journey.
