Carl Hammoud is the Roy Andersson of painting. His imagery presents us with pedantically arranged environments that has been left in a mystious disarray. Here, library shelves and office papers are burstling out of order, in scenes that are as desolate as they are comical. His lithographs sometimes depict the one motif which Hammoud’s paintings so rarely contain - people.
Carl has studied at the Valand Art Academy in Gothenburg. Since graduating in 2004, he quickly rose to become one of Sweden's most beloved painters. Hammoud’s works are included in the collections of art museums in cities such as Kalmar, Gothenburg and Malmö.
