In Kristina Stark's art one often finds connections to nature, body, time and transience. Our beliefs, experiences and habits have taught us to interpret our surroundings in a certain way. Stark explores these ingrained patterns of interpretation and through small changes and shifts, she forces the viewer to create new associations.
Kristina Stark graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. She currently works with sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking and installation. In printmaking, she is interested primarily in the lithographic technique, which creates a multitude of expressions and provides the opportunity to work directly and closely to the final result.
