Maev Lenaghan is an Irish artist based in Stockholm since 2013. Her artistic practice, which besides printmaking includes pastel drawings, is often an encounter with landscapes that have marked her greatly and a fascination with the idea of Wilderness
Maev Lenaghan has a BA in Printmaking from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and an MFA in Visual Communication from Konstfack, Stockholm. After ten years of making mostly etchings, the move to Sweden resulted in a creative move into other printmaking techniques and forms, such as, relief printing, letterpress printing and book making. She has taught printmaking courses at Konstfack and Grafikskolan in Stockholm, among other places.
