Sofie Proos is a painter. Art history is a significant source of her work. She works like an archaeologist with a mapping of the human being and its remnants. A conflict between nature and culture is often present, one can also perceive a certain criticism of the prevailing position of reason in our culture, at the expense of mystery and feeling.
Sofie Proos lives and works in Stockholm. She is educated at the Valand Art Academy in Gothenburg.
